Two new data sources are now available for linking with NDWS survey data. Both link with all the surveys by geography (at state or county level).

AWARD Network Direct Care Workforce Data Compendium
The AWARD Network has developed a research-ready, harmonized dataset of policies and programs that affect the demand, supply, working conditions, and skills of direct care workers.

The state-level dataset covers topics such as training regulations for direct care workers, wage pass-through laws, staffing regulations for nursing homes and assisted living communities, and regulations governing the tasks that direct care workers are permitted to perform.

State-and County-Level Dementia Prevalence Estimates
This dataset estimates the prevalence and number of people living with Alzheimer's dementia (AD) in 50 U.S. states and 3,142 counties, using cognitive data from the Chicago Health and Aging Project, a population-based study, and combined it with the National Center for Health Statistics 2020 bridged-race population estimates to determine the prevalence of AD in adults 65 years or older.
