NDWS is excited to announce that Year 1 survey questionnaires are now in the field. Year 1 data are anticipated in early Spring 2025.

NDWS is now accepting applications for Year 1 pilot grants for high-impact research studies that propose innovative uses of Year 1 NDWS survey data of the professional dementia care workforce and linked data sources.

NDWS is seeking input from subject matter experts for new questionnaire content to be included in 2025 data collection. Submit your ideas by 5 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 16.

Year 1 survey questionnaires and crosswalks are now available to view. Surveys will go into the field in August.

In an Oct. 3, 2023 news release by the Institute for Healthcare Policy & Innovation at the University of Michigan, the National Dementia Workforce Study was introduced.

In a Feb. 12, 2024 episode of Minding Memory, a podcast in the Michigan Medicine Podcast Network, NDWS Co-PI Joanne Spetz talked to Co-PI Donovan Maust and his podcast co-host about who makes up the professional dementia care workforce, and how they play a critical role in the delivery of services.

NDWS will be an exhibitor at AcademyHealth’s Annual Research Meeting in Baltimore, Maryland from June 29 to July 2, 2024.
